I think I'm having some wifi issues and was wondering if anyone else had the same problems. I live in a 2 story house and when I'm downstairs I have no problems getting a connection, but when I head upstairs it gets weird. Right now I have full bars of wifi as well as those two faint up and down arrows, the signal strength is excellent, etc etc. Even though the wifi appears to be fine, it will not connect to anything requiring the Internet.

My iPad works just fine as well as my phone. I'm wondering if this is isolated with me and if I should consider returning the nexus and waiting until they iron out some of the bugs?

I don't have a solution to your problem but I thought I'd share my issue. I have a router that broadcasts on both 2.4 and 5Ghz. I have no trouble seeing or connecting to the 5Ghz network until I leave my apt. When I get home from work my nexus 7 sees the 2.4Ghz network but doesn't see the 5Ghz network. When I reboot I can see and connect to the 5Ghz network without any problem.

My nexus 7 also has some touch sensitivity issues which I have read may be a software problem. I'm hoping this wifi issue we're having can be fixed with a patch soon. There are some definite problems. I'm sitting in the same room as my router, about 6-7 ft.

2. My Moto X and Nexus 7 are both working well on my 5ghz. I have my 2013 Nexus 7 configured to only connect to wifi when the screen. Follow Android Police.

Sep 02, 2013 Even the worse, sometime, the entire 5GHz selection bar is disappear. (Although it maybe the bugs for that app, it is the 1st time i met only on nexus 7).

Away and I'm constantly getting connection errors and having it time out while holding the Nexus 7. If I just hold the sides like it's floating the connection works great, but the second I hold it normally I have problems with every app I try to use. I changed the wifi settings to only use 2.4ghz bands because that's all my router is. I changed the router channel to a better one and I still have major connection problems.
