If you know the Evo IX, an aftermarket system is always installed with a visible gap since the frame around the stereo does not fit, not sure what Nick and his team did my alpine system was installed beautifully with the front frame and no gaps. Nick is good to work work and I've had him install tires on a couple occasions without issue and went to them for some stereo work of putting in new component speakers a couple months back. Sounded better but i wanted to do some further tweaks to improve this a couple months later and pulled apart the door. I find that though i requested the crossovers to be set at a certain setting multiple times, they were not set there and I was assured they were. Also they left the factory tweeter plugged in with the new component tweeter! How could you possibly leave both the old and the new tweeter on at the same time??

Very disappointing. Makes sense why I wasn't totally pleased with the sound. All of these things, I would not have seen if I didn't look inside myself. So I feel somewhat conned. The outside install looked very nice, they did do a good job mounting the speakers but I am quite disappointed with the attention to detail inside the install that actually matters for sound quality.

I know Nick wasn't installing it himself, he seems like a very good guy but his installers don't seem to have the same attention to detail you would expect for your car. Also just noticed that they didn't use the proper brackets when they installed the speakers so its rigged up with some tape and forced screws! Since posting my last review part of my car decayed from sun exposure and fell into my new rear speakers, damaging them. I came back to Mobile Sound and they were understanding. It had been well past warranty time, but they cut me a bit of a deal on replacing my broken speakers, and even mounted them in a way that they wouldn't be damaged like the last ones.

I had recently purchased a used car and was looking to update the sound system. After doing some preliminary research, I called up Mobile Sound based on the stellar reviews. After seeing the car, Nick offered up suggestions for a new head unit, front and rear door speakers, subwoofer, and amplifier.

Remarkably, he steered me away from some more expensive options I had in mind, and patiently explained his rationale for what he felt got me the most bang for my buck, but remaining respectful of my desire for the best I could afford. He set a generous price from the start and made it clear that he would not take a penny from me until I was 100% satisfied. I was told the car would be ready in a week or so, maybe a little longer, as Nick insisted on being given ample time to do a good job. After giving the go-ahead, the only hiccup came a few days later when Nick called me up and informed me that installing a double-DIN head unit would require some minor surgery to the car, which needed my approval.

He was very honest and up front about explaining the problem and what he would do to resolve it. He assured me that he would do nothing irreversible, which put my fears to rest. The man had been the ultimate professional thus far, and I had no issue deferring to his expertise. I ended up getting my car back a day earlier than expected, and could not be happier with the result. Mind you, my particular model of car is not built to normally accept a double-DIN head unit, nor does it have an aftermarket fascia for such an item. In addition to the regular installation, Nick had produced a custom fascia for the head unit, a custom subwoofer enclosure for the trunk, and threw in a rear backup camera with a compatible license plate mount, without deviating from the original set price. All the installed items blended in beautifully and look as if they could be stock.

Furthermore, Angel, the head technician, sat with me for about 20 minutes in the car explaining and demonstrating all the new features for the head unit, making sure I knew how to use it and was satisfied with the sound quality. Following payment, Nick told me not to hesitate to come back if any problems arose, and gave a generous warranty for parts and labor. I left happy as a lamb and would not hesitate to recommend Mobile Sound to anybody for their car audio needs. Nick is a consummate professional, a gentleman and a scholar. Seriously, don't bother with anybody else; you won't be disappointed. So for Christmas my dad decided to get me a remote start. We asked different places and for recommendations, but nothing really sounded promising.
